By the Bay Amusement Park

We now have more reasons to go and visit Mall of Asia. I remember that whenever we have foreign guests and ask them where they want to go, Mall of Asia is included in their itineraries or a must visit. It's like one of the tourist attraction, right?

And every time I go to MOA, I am amazed on how big it really is. Stores after stores, imported and local brands are also there, and lots of restaurants to choose from. I thought that's everything MOA has to offer. But when we were invited by SM FECI (SM Family Entertainment Center Inc.) for an exclusive blogger day(too bad I was not able to bring Sofi) and enjoy the special attractions, such as the MOA Eye, Cruise By The Bay, and Drop Zone, it was one of the trips I will never forget. :)

“MOA Eye” is the biggest and tallest ferris wheel in the Philippines. Featuring 36 six-seater air-conditioned gondolas, MOA Eye is conveniently located along the stretch of SM By the Bay Amusement Park. With a diameter of 180 feet or 55 meters, the “Big Wheel” as it is fondly called boasts of a clear and picturesque 360 degree view of the SM Mall of Asia and Pasay City thus giving a better vantage point of the famed Manila Bay sunset. (source here)

When I was a kid, I never experienced riding a "ferris wheel" (so please excuse my nervousness). And when I saw MOA Eye from the distance, na excite ako. But as we got near sa place, medyo kinabahan na ako, haha! As far as I know, I don't have any fear of heights. But I didn't know that MOA Eye is really that BIG or that HIGH! It's a 10 minute/round ride. At first, gusto ko na sana magback out. I don't think I can last that long. You know, confined in a small gondola, going up, up and away, haha! Pero since I don't want to waste my trip to the south, and all of us are gonna ride anyway, go pa din ako. :))

I'm glad one of my good friends Rachel was with me. I asked her when we were approaching MOA Eye if kaya ko ba ito, and she said kaya ko daw. LOL! Thanks, Rache for the encouragement! :))

I'm happy that Ava and Athan were inside with us at the gondola as well.  When we were getting higher, the less nervous I feel. Ang saya lang! Can't believe I was really up there! :))

Overall, I really enjoyed my MOA Eye experience. We get to see the beauty of Manila from above. The metro skyline was amazing. And the prices are pocket friendly too.

After our MOA Eye experience, we went straight to Cruise by the Bay. When you're in the boat and go beyond the shore line, you get to see the beauty of Manila by the bay.  So, it was a wake up call for me. Let's help and save the environment so our next generation will enjoy and appreciate the beauty Manila Bay has to offer.

The sun was just setting kaya perfect for cruising.

It's a 20 minute boat ride. And our boat is good for 30 people. Safety measures are there top priority. There's a life jacket for each passenger. The waves is just perfect. I really enjoyed the smooth boat ride.

Amazing sunset :) Can't help but take lots of pictures. hehe. :P

Our 3rd and last activity was the Drop Zone. It's a five stories free fall experience. Looks like bungee jumping version.

For only php200, you get to experience the thrill of free fall jumping-Twice. One from facing forward and one from backwards.

Told you, the sunset was such a beauty. Can't help making "selfie" photo, haha!

This time, I was not able to try this one. Sad, I know. :( But I promised myself that next time there's a chance to try Drop Zone, I will definitely do it na.

Really had fun with these girls. :)

To capped the night of at MOA, every friday night at 7pm, they have fireworks na. How cool is that, right? :))

The amusement park at MOA has a lot to offer. There's kiddie rides, bump cars and lots of activities to enjoy. It's a perfect day out for friends and families. And perfect for dates too. ;) If you want a little adventure, hitting two birds in one stone- malling and enjoying a fun outdoor activities, Mall of Asia is the place to be. :)

Thank you, Full Circles and SM MOA for this experience. Truly enjoyed my MOA adventure trip. :))

Sofi's Outfit Diary x Kiddy's Arts Town

Last Friday, I got the result of Sofi's monthly exam and I'm so happy that she got 100 in Mape, 100 in Math and 100 in English and line of 9 in her remaining subjects. We're so proud of her! I'm so happy that she remembered everything we reviewed. :)

And since we want to reward her, we decided to treat her to Kiddy's Arts Town. Every time we are at Toy Kingdom, Sofi keeps on begging us to try Arts Town. At dahil lagi kaming nagmamadali, I keep on telling Sofi na next time na lang. Kaya last Saturday, we brought her to Megamall and made her wish (wish talaga? lol) come true! :)

Kiddy's Arts Town is a store for art materials, but there's also mini tables and chairs for kids who wants to color their arts right away. It's a great way to bond with your kids too.

We had a hard time choosing what picture should be our first, because, there's so many to choose from. There's animals, flowers, butterflies, princesses, robots, etc. I want sana na medyo madaming pwedeng i-color, but Sofi wants a princess.

After we pay at the cashier, the lady manning the Arts Town gave us cotton buds, toothpick, tissues and paint/colors. And of course, our chosen drawing.

Serious at work, haha! ;P After Sofi and I discussed what color should be the hair, her crown, her clothes, we decided to make our princess blonde and we went from there. :)

You can use toothpick or cotton buds to remove the excess paint. Since wet pa sya, dapat dahan-dahan lang, so not to remove the entire paint.

Our next project daw, lol!

Tip: don't touch, flip over your drawing para hindi magsmudge yung mga corners nya. When you're finish, give it to the store personnel . They'll put it in the microwave or oven(?) para magdry yung paint. And tadah!!

small pic is Php149.75 and big pic is Php249.75. Btw, you can stick it to mirror or glass lang.

Sofi's so happy with her princess! Now, we're planning to come back for more! haha! :P Visit Kiddy's Arts Town at Toy Kingdom, SM Megamall and have an art fun for the whole family! :))

Ok, let's have a girl talk. :) When you look inside my bag or vanity bag, you will find baby wipes, tissues, make-up remover wipes and wet ones. And these wipes have specific uses, and whenever I need to go to the bathroom, I'll grab one of these wipes to clean-up myself.

Manang's Chicken is coming to Gaisano Mall, Davao

Davaoeños will now have the chance to enjoy Manang’s signature soy garlic chicken and other delightful dishes as they are set to open their first branch outside Luzon. Manang’s Chicken will open their doors this October at the 4th Level of Gaisano Mall, Davao.

Manang’s Chicken became an instant hit when they opened a stall at Mercato Centrale, a weekend market in Taguig way back December 2010. The positive response from market goers urged them to open their first stand-alone store in Ortigas in June 2011. They opened twelve branches within Metro Manila and nearby provinces in less than three years and are continuously expanding to different provinces through franchising. This proves that Manang’s Chicken is, indeed, one of the fastest growing fried chicken restaurants in the country today.

Their famous double deep fried chicken glazed with original, mild spicy or extra spicy soy garlic sauce has received rave reviews from their customers. Over the years, their menu has expanded to other Filipino comfort food such as Fried Pancit, Cheesy Spaghetti, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Garlic Pork, Fish Fillet and Sesame Beef Stew rice meals. Another must-try is their all natural potato chips with your choice of Spicy Ketchup, Garlic Mayo or Creamy Cheese dips. Cap off your meal with the Velvet Sundae- freshly baked chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream fudge and chocolate chips, a unique Manang’s creation.

Visit Manang’s Chicken- Gaisano and have a taste of this insanely good chicken!

Catch Reliant K Rocks the Ayala Malls

I had a pleasure to attend the press conference of Grammy-nominated band Relient K held at Oz Bar, Holiday Inn, Makati earlier. I was actually excited to see them. Because, after four years since their last studio album, Relient K returns with their seventh album, Collapsible Lung.

VJ Chino of Myx hosted the event and were able to interview Relient K's front man Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes

Relient K has now produced chart-topping hits from its six full-length albums, five EP's and a Christmas record. They are known for their distinct Christian rock style but the band recently experimented on a new genre with more catchy tunes and bright vocal melodies.

In their latest album "Collapsible Lung", the 12 songs evoke a free-spirited vibe. I was able to listen to their album and some of my personal favorites are Don't Blink, Sweeter and Collapsible Lung. :)

The band has over two million records sold, two Dove Awards and three RIAA Gold-certified albums attesting to their success.

Front man Matt Thiessen also had songwriting collaboration for some top pop hits including Owl CIty's 2012 summer hit "Good Time", Kelly Clarkson's "Long Shot", and the award-winning "When Can I See You Again" from the animated film Wreck-It Ralph.

Ayala Malls continuously provides a premiere lifestyle experience as it offers exciting events and spectacular performances both from local and international artists.

And before September ends, expect Relient K band members John Warne, Matt Thiessen, John Schneck, Matt Hoopes and Ethan Luck as they bring high energy rock vocals, fresh new sound and memorable, heart-tugging lyrics when they perform and entertain their legions of loyal fans.

Catch them live at:
Alabang Town Center Activity Center - September 27. 6PM
Market Market! Activity Center - September 27. 6PM
Glorietta 5 Atrium - September 28. 6:30PM
Trinoma Activity Center - September 29. 6PM

Thank you AMPR and Ayala Malls for having me! :)

Mutya Top Winner Koreen Medina's Life, Beliefs and Beauty Essentials.

Mutya Top Winner Koreen Medina Shares about her Life, Beliefs and Beauty Essentials.
Mutya ng Pilipinas Beauty Pageant grand winner Koreen Medina bared in a recent interview what stuff she’s made of and shared some of her admirable beliefs, practices, upbringing details, and useful tips, all of which confirm her branding as “The New Generation’s Perfect Role Model.”

Aina Koreen Medina, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013
Asia Pacific International, also awarded Ms. Zen Institute

This 18-year-old Quezon City beauty, the country’s bet to the Miss Intercontinental Pageant beauty tilt to be held in Egypt in November, bagged several awards as Mutya’s Best in Talent, and was also voted by the pageant’s sponsors as Mutya ng Zen Institute.

This amiable former Mass Communication student of St. Paul University believes in the value of education, which she considers “the most important preparation the youth can have for their future,” despite the fact that her win and her twin talents of singing and acting—not to mention, the prizes she won not only in the pageant but in the previous competitions she earlier joined—may all well be her passport to a comfortable future.

“Values learned at home while growing up serve as a good foundation later on in life—values are very important,” she blurted out. Normally, it’s the parents who teach a child the values he grows up with, but not so with Koreen.

How she cares for herself

“I never go to sleep without my simple beauty regimen. I wash with baby soap and I moisturize. I’ve been doing this since as early as high school. For my body, I use lotion.” Koreen doesn’t go for applying a bagful of skin care products. She knows she doesn’t need to do much—just keeping her face clean and moisturized does the trick.

No, she’s not a gym person, but she plays volleyball and basketball—these serving as her off-and-on exercise. She’s open, however, to possibilities that the Zen Institute will recommend for her as regimen. She acknowledges that having a suitable regimen means being able to exercise discipline.

“I heard Zen goes most for the natural, and I like things natural.” Koreen’s statement truly epitomizes the Zen Institute, which has taken on the route towards the natural, guided by the acumen and rich experience of a medical doctor who’s a wellness advocate, Dr. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres. If Dr. MJ is perpetually the “The Hands and the Face Behind Zen,” indeed beauty titlist Koreen Medina is “The Face of Zen” this 2013.

(PHOTO: Aina Koreen Medina (middle) Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013-Asia Pacific International winner and also awarded Ms. Zen Institute. Posing with Medina (from left) are fellow winners Angeli Dione Gomez - Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 - Tourism International, Kristian Aubrey Nolasco - Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 - 2nd runner up and  Maureen Ann Montagne - Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 - 1st runner up)

Dra. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres (The Zen Institute)

Positive attitude. Healthy lifestyle. Balance between mind and body. All these are very much Koreen Medina. And this makes her a true example of a woman living in Zen’s guiding philosophy. She is a beauty “perfected from within”.

True beauty comes from within and Koreen is glad to have known The Zen Institute. Being part of the Zen Institute and carrying the title “Ambassador” gives her more confident in showing to the world true Filipina beauty is inside and out.

The Zen Institute is located at the Ground Floor, Bonifacio Technology Center, 31st Street corner 2nd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City (856-2027), with branches at 69 Scout Rallos St., Tomas Morato, Quezon City (441-1712; 412-2528), or at the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, Maharlika Highway, Barangay 2, Sto. Tomas, Batangas (+43) 778-4811).

Champion Detergent, currently one of the leading detergent brands in the country, has reached another milestone in its commitment to offer meaningful quality products to Filipino consumers with the release of its CHAMPION FABRI-CON– Liquid Fabric Conditioner with Freshness Capsules. The entry of this latest offering coincides with the 50th year Anniversary celebration of the company that pioneered the Champion brand, Peerless Products Manufacturing Corporation.

And a week ago, Champion Fabri-Con launched its famous and one of the versatile actress and fellow mommy, Ms. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo as their latest endorser and it was held at Shangrila, Makati.

While we waited for Ms. Judy Ann to arrive, we were treated to a very sumptuous buffet. Happy tummy indeed! :)

It was a light afternoon where Ms. Judy Ann gamely answered some questions from media friends.

When asked about her decision to be part of Champion: “It was a natural decision for me to join the Champion family. The same reason, my husband (Ryan Agoncillo) agreed to do it, it really is the virtue of the brand’s integrity that made me say yes to it,” says the newest face of Champion Fabri-Con. When we talk about Champion, it’s all about high quality. It’s about top-of-the-line ingredients, which is also true for this new product with its quality fragrance oils that release a fresh, airy fragrance throughout the day. And that’s what I love about it," she says.

“I use it everywhere, and I always get wonderful end-results. Aside from softening, it also leaves this powdery fresh scent in all my fabrics – whether it’s home linens like blankets and curtains, or the clothes of my loved ones. That’s the power of Champion Fabri-Con. It makes you feel right at home,”

With Champion Fabri-Con, quality materials for softening laundered clothes gets bannered with a elegantly complex fragrance profile well-balanced, and consistent from when you smell it in the containing bottle to the end-result in washed clothing.

Moreover, this fragrance is time-released for all-day freshness, no small thanks to its freshness capsules -- fragrance in micro-capsules that are embedded on the fabric after using Champion Fabri-con. Eventually the fragrances in these capsules are released in your clothes throughout the day, bringing you back that comforting feeling of home.

It also comes in a technology variant called Champion Infinity Fabri-con -- with a 1-Rinse Formula to hasten the rinsing process, as well as Anti-Bacterial ingredients that stop the growth of malodor-causing bacteria on clothes. As such, it offers two benefits that the target market deem important for the category -- savings on water and effort with its 1-Rinse formula, and assured fresh-smelling clothes with its Anti-Bacterial feature, even when fabrics are dried indoors or during rainy weather.

Champion Fabri-Con provides an elegant, well-balanced and sophisticated profile of fragrance—one that comes from all-quality ingredients and that reminds us of the comfort of home.

You can now avail of Champion Fabri-Con at leading supermarket nationwide! :)

Asia's Best Bounty Fresh

$

A week ago, I received a door to door surprise from Bounty Fresh.  My daughter Sofi said pa nga na, "Yay, Chicken! My favorite!!". Haha! Chicken is one of our favorite meal in the family. Fried, turbo, with tomato sauce or any sauce, there is no day that we don't cook chicken.

For many years, Bounty Fresh Food, Inc. (BFFI) dedicated itself to providing Filipino families with fresh, all natural chicken products that will be truly loved regardless of reason or occasion. With a bevy of prestigious national and international awards in the poultry and livestock industry for product excellence coupled with exceptional consumer service, BFFI is truly the “chicken expert.”

From its early years, Bounty Fresh developed and introduced its own innovative and globally acceptable standards in raising poultry from farm to plate. It is the only poultry integrator to continuously innovate and invest in new systems and poultry technology. Before a Bounty Fresh Chicken product arrives in the kitchen, trust that it went through a stringent processing that guarantees only the freshest chicken available, giving customers real value for their money.

What I love about Bounty Fresh is they are tightly sealed, but the color of their chicken fillet still looks fresh when you opened it. I decided to fry it and just added cornstarch and a sprinkle of pepper for flavor.

Tip: When frying, don't forget to drain them(after they're cooked) first in a table napkin para i-absorb ang oil.

Love the crunchiness and juiciness of Bounty Fresh chicken fillet. I'm not a big fan of white meat, but this is exceptional since very tasteful ang pagka white meat nya. Nomnomnomnom!!

You can have them with rice or pwede din syang pang chicken fillet sandwich. I also put them in my salad. With lettuce, a little bit of mayo and my chicken fillet, you'll have a healthy snack na. :)

In 2009, BFFI was the first Philippine company to win the Best Poultry and Livestock Company Award at the 2009 Asian Livestock Industry Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Topping categories like Technological Excellence, Food Safety, Marketing Excellence and Industry Leadership, Bounty Fresh truly deserves its tag as being “Asia’s Best.”

It all starts with the feeds that Bounty Fresh ensures to be clean and safe. The Chicken Expert carefully selects the raw materials it uses, giving the chicken the right nutrition they need to grow. With its national network of feed mills, feeds are always delivered fresh to the farms, safe for chicken consumption.

On the other hand, the breeders or the chicken that produce day old chicks are kept in breeder farms under a controlled environment to keep them  cool and comfortable. The modern breeder house has automated feeding and egg collection systems that ensure timely collection and a clean and safe environment for the eggs. These eggs are then brought to the hatchery for incubation and hatching.

Bounty Fresh is also the first company to introduce the single stage hatchery incubation systems. This system ensures that eggs of a similar stage of development are grouped and incubated together. Careful precision is required in giving each egg the right temperature it needs to develop. After 21 days of incubation, eggs develop and hatch into chicks.

After that, chicks are brought to tunnel-ventilated broiler farms where they are grown. There, the chicks feel more relaxed since they have more space to roam around and prevent them from being sluggish. The environment is also controlled – not too cold and not too hot – to make the chicks grow at a healthy rate, and at the same time prevent sickness. Also, as an added precaution, farm personnel who provide feeds and water need to take showers before entering the houses to make sure that the growing environment of the chicks is always kept clean and biosecure.

Finally, when the chicks are fully grown and become healthy chicken with the right size and weight, they are then brought to Bounty Fresh’s Triple-A Processing Plant that is certified by the National Meat Inspection Commission for processing. Before leaving the plant, the chicken undergo a thorough inspection process under the plant’s bio-security measures to make sure that these chicken are disease-free and also free from foreign materials. Chicken products are then vacuum-sealed to keep the natural flavors and juices in, keep bacteria out and prolong the product’s refrigerated shelf life.

All of these procedures are implemented to help produce Asia’s Best Chicken, by no other than Bounty Fresh – the Chicken Expert.

“Bounty Fresh is all about customer satisfaction. We only give our valued customers high-quality and safe poultry products that are produced in a clean and safe environment with very strict poultry management practices,” Carl Chung (AVP for Operations Development Department), said. “As your Chicken Expert, we commit ourselves in giving the Filipinos Asia’s Best Chicken.”

Celebrating wild life at Ark Avilon Zoo

Just wanna share our experience. A few weeks ago, Sofi's(my daughter) school held their annual field trip for grade 1 students. One of the places they chose to go was Ark Avilon Zoo. They are located at Tiendesitas, Pasig City.

Since grade 1 pa lang si Sofi, she's required to have a guardian or parent to go with her. And yay for me, because 1. nakakamiss din ang mga school field trips, yung baon- haha! at gulo sa bus, and 2. I've never been to Ark Avilon Zoo. I've been to Manila Zoo before but super tagal na. So, yeah.. parehas kaming kilig and excited ni Sofi when we were in the bus na. :))

We were there around 8:20am and we were told that they'll open pa at 9am.
Sofi's showing us what to expect inside.

Small turtle. So cute!!!

I know that Ark Avilon Zoo is parang an open space for animals. They're birds na wala sa cage, pero they were behave naman. Even though a lot of people were taking their pictures, they don't feel alarmed or agitated.  Na-inform naman ata ang mga birds, hehe. :D

*insert Katy Perry's Roar!! Can you see from Sofi's eyes kung gaano sya ka-scared? If I can just post her "patakbo" shots kasi natatakot sya na baka makalabas yung puma, hehe! When we got there, paikot ikot lang yung puma. I think the puma knows that there's a lot of people outside and she/he's planning an escape. lol!

Too bad the photo is grainy pero I still love this shot! Galing at nakaporma pa si puma at Sofi. :))

We are allowed to feed some animals. Like rabbits, fish, birds, monkey. We have to pay lang for their food. I think around php40-50 depending on the animal.

Fiesta ang mga fishes sa dami ng nag feed sa kanila.

At the 2nd floor there's different birds, rabbits, pony and reindeer.

If you want to have your picture taken with a particular animal, you have to pay pa. Around php50. Like this monkey, you have to pay pa so you can sit beside him/her for picture. If birds naman, you can have the bird in your hand/arms pero with pay din.

It was very hot inside. Maybe because of their yellow light or some lighting effect. All in all, according to Sofi, it was the best day ever daw. (actually, lahat ng labas namin best day ever para sa kanya, haha!).

Have some bonding time with your family. Let your children discover the wild life at Ark Avilon Zoo. You may visit them from Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm and Saturday-Sunday, Holidays from 10am-7pm.

Will share the other two places here on my blog from Sofi's field trip soon. Stay tuned! Have a great day! :)

Last Sunday, we celebrated my daughter Sofi's 7th birthday. While I was looking at her baby pictures to photo grid for my instagram,  I can't believe that I have a 7 year old daughter na. Parang kelan lang when I first fed her and first time nya to taste cerelac. Look at the top left pic below, haha! Time flies so fast. It also reminded me that I have to cherish, appreciate my time with her and make MORE time to be with my family.

And with all that's happening around us - bad weather, earthquake, tragedies and all the unforeseen incidents, let's make time for our love ones before it's too late. Let's appreciate them, tell them how we care for them, love them and hug them. One of the hardest part of life to face is regret. I hope you appreciate my reminder. tee-hee! :)

Live beats provided by DJ Callum David, a.k.a. DJ Vinimal will set the show sailing on a breezy summer cruise.

A pop-up exhibit, open from 12 noon until 9 in the evening, will give the guests something extra to look forward to. Staged in a nautical themed store, guests can soak up on the seafaring vibe of Giordano. Furthermore, fashion bloggers will get to show their eye for fashion by their personally-styled mannequins which will be exhibited at the booth. Fashion fans and followers will get the chance to meet these bloggers at certain times throughout the day: Aisa Ipac, David Guison, Alyssa Lapid, Tracy Ayson, Kookie Buhain, Mikyle Quizon, Dani Baretto, Miko Carreon, and Enciso sisters, Vern and Verniece.

Also part of the exhibit will be a showcase of World Without Strangers prints done by local artists, Soleil Ignacio, Chi Chi Monster and Barry Ambrosio. Giordano will be giving away 45 shirts featuring these ironed-on prints.

Not to miss out on this happening event, a Twitter/Instagram booth will also be set up on the pop-up exhibit. Anyone can join and post photos using the hashtag #GiordanoPhFW and get photo print outs for free!  Freebies await those who stay connected to Instagram or Twitter during the event.

I love brands who not only just sell their products and make profits, but also help our kababayans make a living by helping them thru livelihood program. And that's why I love Rags2Riches!

Rags2Riches is a for-profit social enterprise based in Manila, Philippines, creating eco-ethical fashion and home accessories out of up cycled scrap cloth, organic materials and indigenous fabrics by working with artisans (mostly women) living in less privileged communities across the country.

A week ago, Rags2Riches launched their Fall/Holiday 2013 Collection at Ayala Museum. The collection, dubbed as ARTEsenal Luxe, also fuses timeless silhouettes with a selection of traditional and contemporary techniques.

Super love this masterpiece by Olivia d'Aboville

Each piece in this collection, from the minaudières, clutches, mini bags to the hobo bags, illustrates the tactile richness of different handmade textures, as well as the artful interpretations of the lives and values of the artisans, producing eco – ethical fashion and home accessories out of recycled scrap cloth, organic materials and indigenous fabrics as they strive to weave better futures for the families and communities where these skilled individuals hail from.

Super bet!! I waaaaaaant!!!

Inspired by one of the Philippines’ most influential fashion icons and this season’s Rags2Riches Style Advocate, Liz Uy for Rags2Riches ARTEsenal Luxe makes a bold statement that glamour can be good for the world, and that style can have soul and substance.

The celebrity stylist and fashion editor-at-large truly believes that one’s personal style should always make a statement, and that one’s accessories should go way beyond being just a decorative piece, possessing a story and life of its own.

Liz Uy as the latest Style Advocate of Rags2Riches and the collection’s stories coming from different artisans around the country creates a social statement in itself, fusing style and substance together.

Of course one of the highlight of the event is seeing your blogger friends again. Hi Keigh!

LOL!

One of my fave from the collection. Bagay sa outfitey ko! :))

Very timely for Christmas season too. They're perfect as Christmas gift. Every time you'll buy, you're also helping poor communities across the country.

For those who seek fashion and home accessories with great design and are equally captivated and inspired by the stories they tell, the Liz Uy for Rags2Riches ARTEsenal Luxe is for you. For more information, visit www.rags2riches.ph. Last weekend, I was invited to attend the intimate media send off with our ING New York Marathon 2013 Timex Philippines delegates. We were able to get to know more of our representatives during lunch at Lorenzo's Way in BGC.

The Pangilinan's were so game in answering questions regarding their preparation in terms of mentally, physically and emotionally for their upcoming marathon. I thought running in a marathon is easy. I mean, tatakbo ka lang naman, right? But no pala! Anthony shared to us his 1st experience in running the marathon. It's a 4-5hours of running, you can take a break for restroom, pero syempre you can't rest too long para yung adrenalin mo intact pa din.

Let's get to know Anthony Pangilinan more:

- He was the official Timex Philippines Delegate to the New York Marathon in Nov. 2011.

- His official finish time is 4:26:53

And Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan:
-  Wife to inspirational speaker Anthony Pangilinan
     - An award-winning actress and authored 5 books. She has won a Catholic Mass Media Award for her children’s book  Super Benjin 2006.
           -  She writes a weekly column for Philippine Star called Mommy Talk.

Coach Rio was set to join the Pangilinan's at the marathon, but due to her wife's pregnancy, he decided to stay. Sweet, right? "_
