I think one of the biggest challenges of being a mom is to know how to cook, haha! I remember the time when Paul (now my husband) was still courting me, my Papa asked him: "Sigurado ka ba sa papasukan mo? Sigurado ka na ba sa anak ko? Hindi marunong magluto yan." Haahahaha!!! But seriously, alam ko lang that time is magbake ng brownies, gumawa ng polvoron, at magsaing. Takot ako sa tilamsik ng mantika, nadala kasi ako. Kahit my parents wants me to learn how to cook, mas gusto ko pang maghugas ng plato kesa magvolunteer magluto. Pero yun nga, alangan naman brownies ipakain ko sa future family ko, d ba? Kaya when I got married, I was forced my goal was to learn how to cook. Aside from reading cook books, watching cooking shows, I also asked my mom sa mga right ingredients or how to cook mga ulam.
Now that I am married for almost 14 years, I can't say I'm an expert in the kitchen, but I learned along the way on what to feed my family. It was all trial and error until we found our favorites. Until now I'm still learning and I'm happy that there are cooking products that can make my dishes tastier, yummier and more flavorful. Parang lutong expert!
